What is The Stampede?
The Stampede is the official athletic fundraising organization of Cal Poly Athletics, bringing together alumni, fans, and supporters under one shared vision: providing the resources needed for our 22 NCAA Division I programs to compete for championships while developing exceptional student-athletes. Through The Stampede, you will join a community of donors committed to advancing the success of more than 550 Mustang student-athletes. What's the difference between The Stampede and the former Stampede Club?
The former Stampede Club primarily focused on season tickets and game-day hospitality. The Stampede is now the official fundraising organization for Cal Poly Athletics, supporting more than 550 student-athletes through scholarships, annual giving, facilities, sport-specific initiatives, and other philanthropic priorities. Season ticket holders are an important part of the Mustang community, and we appreciate their support. Membership in The Stampede, however, is based on a philanthropic contribution to Cal Poly Athletics. How do I join The Stampede?
Joining is easy. Make a gift to Cal Poly Athletics through The Stampede, and you'll become a member while directly supporting more than 550 Mustang student-athletes.
What does my gift support?
A gift to a specific team can be directed to their student-athlete opportunity fund or excellence account. A student-athlete opportunity fund gift provides direct support for student-athlete scholarships and financial awards. A gift to an excellence fund supports the head coach’s greatest area of need including unrestricted resources to support critical priorities such as nutrition, technology, recruiting, equipment, and other emerging needs that directly impact student-athlete success.
What do I receive for joining The Stampede?
In appreciation of your philanthropic support, you'll receive exclusive access based on your giving level, including special communications from Cal Poly Athletics, invitations to member-only events, behind-the-scenes experiences, and access to select game-day hospitality areas.
